but it doesn't matter what techniques page it was.
Any techniques page that tells you bit by bit how to do a vault and names all different kinds of random crap techniques giving a name for all different varients is wrong and stupid.

ok yeah
the basics just mean learning to vault over something and such.

i'd say the same as bloo, learn basic movements, just learn how your body would move over something at a fast pace, building up from being slow
getting general ideas about how your body would like to move are always good

Part of the basics which needs to be learnt i personally believe are how to jump and land properly.

i learnt how to land a few days ago and am practising everyday to get better as well as other tecniques :wink:

you may have a basic idea of how to land, but it will take a long long time to truely 'know' how to land. There is so much to it
how have you been practising your landings out of interest?

i have been jumping for small hieghts i.e benchs and off the side of my trampoline after lessons for a mate on how to land

Good heights to start on I'd say.
Some younger people when
learning how to land will just
throw themselves off roofs etc.
