The only thing that sand is good for is making you feel comfortable that your most definably not going to get hurt if you bail but grass is exactly the same just doesn't have the same feel as sand if you get me?

I do all my tricking and 9.5/10 times it doesn't stop me from doing the trick.
Say i dead leg myself or maybe porkchop myself ill sit down for a min then try again but if i land on my knees on bum i get up do it again... even on my head ill keep going.
Grass is just as good as sand so Jamie get your ass on the grass at the civic center this saturday and bust off some mo Fu%&ing back tucks!

Where I live nearby there is a pile of woodchippings well hidden, so thats kinda hard for taking off but soft for landing

Understand that this art has been created by few soldiers in Vietnam to escape or reach: and this is the spirit I'd like parkour to keep. You have to make the difference between what is useful and what is not in emergency situations. Then you'll know what is parkour and what is not. So if you do acrobatics things on the street with no other goal than showing off, please don't say it's parkour. Acrobatics existed long time ago before parkour.

sand is awsome for tricking,i saw a guy attempting a gainer and he bailed and face planted. If he had done it on grass he would have broke his nose but on sand he was fine

Sand is stupid!
Its annoying cos it gets every where and it makes it harder to take off on sand so you get a less land rate cos you carnt jump or move properly!
Do it on grass you can jump better, move better AND FOR GODSAKE LANDING ON GRASS DOESNT HURT!!!

its good to land on. I wouldnt advise actual tricking In sand to be honest, it will kill all the power in your moves

but surely it is good strength training. toget the height you need on sand you need power, when you take this to a harder surface your tricks will have more power than if you tricked on harder materials to start with.

you'd have a higher chance of over-rotation though
