Noburn, are we talking about the same event? How can you defend this event while talking about safe training and respect? The vid alone shows just how much emphasis on safety is there at events like this.

Mikey, UF will care shit all about what I write here(although they may ban my account by the same name there, has happened before) but that does not change the fact that the event (represented by the highlite video) represented freerunning and parkour by association (unfortunatly) in a reckless manner.
The media coverage of the event shows that UF still puts no effort inn to keep misconceptions about the relationship between parkour and fr to a minimum(an area where the parcouring event actually does a decent job, showing that it is not impossible.)
I will not stop talking about this just because it won't stop them from holding events, if actual reflections an honest feedback about the events can keep people from supporting it, or at a minimum get some better safety messures and standards for a potential second championship it will have been well worth the time of all the people writing feedback.

stop being little cock munchers, stop perceiving this as a problem with UF and politics its the faggish concept and lack of safety aswell as the " Free running" but wait there was no running!

To be honest I don't really think safety is an issue. There were mats on the floor for some of the big drops and past that I don't really know what else you can do. Free runners can't wear protective clothing because it's restricting and padded obstacles are bit weak. It's like any extreme sport, someone gets hurt at every major event.

I agree that it was a poor advert for free running though. The course focsed on flips and drops, with a few bars, but none of this was strung together. It's a shame really.
